Anger Stories

Story: Anger is one letter short of Danger

Written by divinemind

While a man was polishing the back of his new red BMW car, his 6-year-old son picked up a stone and scratched lines on the front of the car. In anger, the man took the child’s hand and hit it many times – not realizing he was using a wrench. The child was howling and crying in extreme pain. Coming back to his senses, the man rushed the child to the hospital. At the hospital, the doctor sadly reported that all the fingers would have to be amputated as they were severely injured.

When the child came out of anesthesia, he saw his father in the hospital. Shocked to find his right hand without fingers, with teary eyes, the child asked his father, “Dad, when will my fingers grow back?”

The man was beside himself with grief and speechless. He went back to his car and kicked it numerous times. Devastated by his own actions, sitting in front of that car, he looked at the scratches for the first time. His pain reached its limit when he found out what his dear son had actually written ‘I LOVE YOU DAD’.

We should remember that Anger is one-letter short of Danger.
